We watched the original, theatrical release in 1988 at Wormwood's Dog and Monkey Cinema in Halifax NS, and again this week streamed on Tubi. An interesting, thoughtful treatment of the dying days of the Ottoman empire in a far-flung satrapy flirts with notions of colonial power relationships, not quite up to the cast's wattage, but enjoyable nevertheless.
