So, views on the lawsuit and what's prompted it?

I heard a "leading industry figure" whose name escapes me saying that "gaming must put its house in order" which struck me as one of those meaningless, pious, responses, since gaming isn't a single community and it doesn't have one house. That said, plenty of game producers have made a fortune and are continuing to profit by skewing game content towards violently misogynistic even incel appetites, so it doesn't surprise me that this spills over into behaviour within the companies.

Activision Blizzard Sued By California Over Harassment Of Women (kotaku.com) seems to cover a lot of it. Another company with major problems from the top down. Some of the stuff coming out about 'the bill cosby suite' at conferences is just grim. Ubisoft are also a bit of a cesspit for this kind of thing, it seems.

Interesting they are being sued by the state and not as a class action. I suppose that could still come.

Very likely, I imagine. Especially if the state wins.
