Who do you think they were, then?

I don't know, do you? I'd prefer to wait until someone finds out, the FBI, or the CIA...

Did you happen to read about John Sullivan?

Their voice was heard. They voted, they lost, get over it. Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, gained more votes of the American people than Trump, but still lost due to the system in place. Did democrat voters at the time riot and storm Capitol?

Rich. The Democrats and Hillary Clinton whined for four years over the loss of HRC. And then there is the "Russian investigation" and impeachment trial. You have got to be kidding me. Seems people can justify almost anything over personal dislike. Ridiculous.

So he deserved to be killed by the police?

I'd be interested in what you know about that other than what you read in some rag. Did you know that George Floyd had 11 ng/mL of fentanyl in his system? If he had been found home alone, the ruling would have been death by an overdose. 3 ng/mL of fentanyl has been known to cause death.

Now, Derek Chauvin was definitely wrong in the restraint; for the life of me I do not know what ever possessed him to perform that type of restraint. But he will never work in law enforcement again, and according to reports I read, was a scumbag outside of LE, what with his tax evasion and other questionable actions, But it is quite conceivable that any scenario involving stress for Floyd would have resulted in death, so the restraint was not the sole cause, but definitely a contributing factor. Neither was the restraint justified.

Can't have it both ways.

So glad you mentioned that. So the rioting, looting and arson in various cities around the U.S. is justified because of George Floyd's death? How is burning down another black man's lifelong dream of a business, a rack of blue jeans, sneakers, and ransacking of stores related? Can YOU have it both ways?

What about David Dorn, a black ex-police officer who was watching his friend's store and killed by a looter justified?

For a country that likes to preach democracy to the world, there's a lot of Americans who don't seem to understand how the process works and who could really do with being given a copy of the "Dummies guide to democracy"...

A lot of Democrats preach democracy, but to anyone who is actually paying attention, America is not. We are a Federal Presidential Constitutional Republic. The Founding Fathers took great pains to ensure that a democracy was not the result of the Philadelphia Convention, because throughout history, democracies always fail.

Right. He also held a sign, "Q sent me." Does that mean he is a British Secret Service Operative? No, he's a whack job.

I don't disagree with a lot of what you said there. But let me ask this: Why is it OK for thousands to protest and commit violence in the streets in the name of Black Lives - who, incidentally, have never condemned black on black murder - and what happened at the Capitol?

Now, the idiots who stormed the Capitol clearly hadn't thought things out well; what did they hope to accomplish? It made no sense, n matter who did it. But did it make sense for rioters to destroy nearly every business on 8th street and Chestnut streets in Philadelphia?

Some have taken a stab at ameliorating the worst of it, always thwarted by the billionaire class that controls politicians and media alike
You've actually said quite a lot there. Ever notice American politicians who vehemently profess, gesturing and pointing wildly, that they "will fight for you"? Really? I submit that all they do is fight for their own continued self-enrichment, and the continuation of their political status.

America is barreling towards a second civil war
Is it that surprising, really? When you have so many politicians telling them that if they vote for them, they will get "free stuff", what would you expect? That's what democracy brings: when the people discover that they can vote largesse for themselves through the public treasury, they will always vote for the candidate who promises them the most. The end result is loose fiscal policy and a bankrupt nation (rough paraphrase of Alexander Tytler/Lord Woodhouselee). The end result is Socialism, then Communism.

a handful of agitators caught red-handed changes nothing.
It didn't matter in the riots across America, either. Those crimes happened and were allowed to continue by the Governors and Mayors whose responsibility it was to maintain the peace, yet they abandoned that responsibility, letting criminals riot to their hearts content.

Who do common folks call when the police are defunded? Social workers? What a joke.

In the end, it doesn't matter. I challenge anyone to find the word "democracy" in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, or the Bill of Rights. It's not there, because the Founding Father knew that democracies always fail.

You'd know a lot about that, wouldn't you? After all, isn't there rain many times a week over there?

But I take heart in the fact that you lot are at least as critical of your own politicians - maybe more so - as you are with ours, even though I doubt you know as much about ours as you think you do.

I submit that if more people spent more time absorbed with their own lives than what happens on Twitter, the world would be much better off.
