Mine:

Yorkshire Penny is not quite visible in plastic tub far left near Flintstones vitamin bottle (red label). Beige PC is my 'new' (2-yo) model, black is the old one I just installed Win7 to, blue light north of keyboard is KVM switch. Stuff piled around/under display is mostly negatives, some as recent as last year, some pushing 35-years. The chair was gifted to me by my boss at ClayWorks pottery in Halifax in ~1987. MrsD. made an attempt at restoring the upholstery with packing tape.

Desk. Field of view of the webcam and where I put my phone for facetime calls means none of the shite can be seen. I did tidy the right hand side the other day, then it got messy again.

Occasionally sit outside on my newly built pallet sofa and reply to emails on my phone

mine:Bottom left is my Pi 3B OwnCloud box & Drive. Under the desk is my main PC and next to it (all a bit dark under there) my Plex/backup box. To the right are two of Mrs WmA's three sewing machines, although she says that only one is a sewing machine. The others are a "serger" and a "topstitcher".

This is mine, currently serving as a working from home station, modelling table and has my (somehow) very tidy Lego collection on the wall. The weird 4 wheel chassis thing is the latest experiment with differentials. I got a model motorbike kit for my birthday this year, which is what all the sprues are in the bottom left and you can see one of the orange wheels centre left.

The other side of the room has a bookcase, my drawing desk and an easel, so a few evenings a week are spent in here. I've been working from home for 4 weeks now and don't feel like I've left this room for any reasonable length of time. It's beginning to get an odour.  :/

Edit - gah, it's not uploading. :(

I've been setting up for work on my dining table, because it separates work computing from fun computing, and it's a far nicer place to sit; it's next to a window, I've got a bookshelf behind me for video-call-bingo-points, I've got a record player to play actual records on, and at the end of the day I need to turn everything off if I want to eat at my table.

My man-cave is where my personal PC is, Godzilla Roaring Competition Trophy and all. The Thrustmaster's out (nj) because I'm playing Elite: Dangerous a lot.

I thought about having a separate work area because I use my box room/office for the hobby stuff - 3D printer is behind me.

But that would mean buying new screens and i wanted to use the 3 screen setup for work. Has meant some days I've been mostly sat in this room from around 9am till bedtime, not healthy.

I was quite lucky - when we moved office a year back, the company gave us the chance to buy some of the old stuff for cheap - I took advantage and nabbed some monitors, brackets, keyboards, mice and stands, which has now turned out to have been a very good idea.

It's definitely good to get a break from the screen/room occasionally, so you should definitely spend more time sitting on the pallet-bench. Drinking beer.

I've just spent the last 2 hours sat out drinking tea and eating cake. I've probably burnt my head now. I'll start on the beer later.

I've done something similar, my home work space is in a different room to my gaming PC setup, which is nice. Also got some old kit from work, some monitors and a PC that would otherwise have gone to the scrapper. So the kids have got a PC to mess around with for Minecraft and some animation software they like playing with.

Still can't upload a pic. :/ Tried 3 different devices and two different browsers. I blame Manthorp.

Got the image uploading - I ended up reducing to ~200kb, the original was only 2MB. Hmm. I still blame Manthorp.

Before lockdown started and after. Been using the spare room to store important things from the garage while I was rebuilding that bugger. Had to do a bit of a tidy to find the desk, and then run some ethernet cable so I could actually have a reliably internet connection in here.

I've since changed one monitor (need to find the allen keys so I can adjust the heights), and got a new chair. Much nicer than being in my actual office, although the heating at this end of the house is shit :((

I built this desk and shelf a couple of months ago, it's solid oak kitchen worktop and then some legs and brackets from Ikea. Not much depth room available so it's very wide. The keyboard goes away to be replaced by a laptop in times of actual working, but I'm furloughed at the moment. I really really need to something about the wiring though. And find a place to put my exciting Oculus Quest headset that arrived yesterday.
