I've just cheered myself up by searching for "assbox" and reading through some old threads. Does anyone still have a functioning netbook?

Butterfly is an ugly word, yeah.

How about Butterfly in another language?

papillon in French, obviously.

papallona (Catalan) sounds pretty.

All the Romance languages are going to be pap-something.

nabi (Korean) is kinda nice.

babochka (Russian) is lovely.

If you're talking about a GUI git viewer, I submit: Guit.

It'll be web-based, though I would like to do a better gitk one day, for which Guit would fit. (Kinda surprising nobody appears to have used that name already.)

Using another language is a good idea, though my idea of checking Wikipedia page names doesn't work so well because it's not always linking to the correct translations - for French it links to "Rhopalocères" which it proceeds to point out is an obsolete term. :/

I've only just chucked away my HP Touchpad. It was still limping along at something like 10 years old.

I have an Acer Aspire One (named Ass-Pyre, of course) in a drawer somewhere, which I presume still works. Last time I can remember using it was when I took it to Seattle in 2013. Round the house, it got quickly replaced by a Nexus 10 tablet, which still sees daily use. It's getting a bit long in the tooth now, but still holds up.

I looked at what the modern replacement would be, and the options seem to be to spend 1-200 quid on something that's a bit faster, with more cores and a more recent OS, but a worse screen than the Nexus 10, or spend about 400 quid (which is pretty much what I paid for it) to get a decent screen and the faster processor, etc.
