That's far more the sort of answer I was expecting.

That's a plus, in my estimation.

I'd much prefer a warm tropical island. So I'm going there.

Do you anticipate sharing these three or so months with anyone else on your choice of island or are you looking for a deserted desert island? If other people are taken out of the equation I'd still take the aforementioned items and a device for playing music and hope for an indigenous pizza oven.

Temperature on Pukapuka is hitting ~37C this afternoon, and some great whites are circling for feeding time...

Whilst I'm flattered, I trust my role is as your Man Friday rather than your fleshlight?

what would you get, Peter?

I fear that my "hey, peace and quiet and stuff" would mean I was quickly very bored in reality, if it ever became reality. On the other hand, the time needed to get and prepare food might negate that. Should probably pack some antibiotics too.

Honestly I was thinking more as a fleshlight but I guess we could just bring one each. Less room for strong drink though (mine's a strong tea).

The fleshlight would probably make a passable ad hoc flask.

I'd just bring enough dry/unspoiling food that preparation wasn't more than starting a fire, boiling water, and a few minutes of simmering.

Add the necessary pots, flask, lighter/firestarter, a decent knife or two, first aid stuff, and some form of survival guide.

A decent backpack, camp bed, a tent so I don't have to watch what Xen and Throb are up to.
A bunch of solar powered lights, insect repellent.
Maybe a GPS device to avoid getting too lost.

Definitely a huge stash of loo roll because the alternatives wouldn't be fun.

I can't decide if I'd bother bringing reading material, I think I'd prefer a sketchbook and assorted art materials.

And a couple of crash mats so I can do some climbing.

And some bagpipes. :)

No ice machine? No big screen tv? This is already beginning to sound like a living hell.
