One of my favourite books by one of my favourite authors. Haven't seen this film or the later version with Ralph Fiennes. Can't imagine either would be a barrel of laughs

The photography was uneven (at least, on an old crt tv) but gorgeous in places. I haven't seen many other films based on Green's stories, and none in this dismally doomed romance genre. Neil Jordon directed the remake.
