I can't speak for the rest of the posse, but I have never seen game of thrones, so am rendered voluntarily mute on the subject. I fully expect to be buying the whole box set once the seasons have finished and we'll binge the lot. I ignore social media channels, so don't have the same concern as yourself.
So;
Who's your favourite character?
Does it contain any goblins?
How many limbs are lost in a typical episode?
Is the theme music any good?

I feel like it's one of those things I ought to want to see, but haven't been bothered. We saw Peter Dinklage in a really funny movie recently, The Station Agent.

He was also great in Death At A Funeral

The Station Agent is great, had it on DVD for a while, the characterisation is great and some really great photography.

A Song of Ice and Fire is a great book series. A fair few people here read it based on the recommendation of Rowan or Almor or Caer.

I was originally excited with Game of Thrones but never got past the first season - the excessive hype/mania have really turned me off it. Don't know if I'll ever go back and watch it all.

Doin areet. Lacking in sleep due to 18 month old child, but otherwise humming along nicely.

What’s new round these parts?

It was just another boring "here is a bunch of illegal streaming links" thing, if they're not dressed up in a load of dadaistesque poetry I can't summon the interest any more :C

My apologies for being an old cynic! Glad my less cynical buddies were able to help out.

Two episodes in and it's all about to kick off again, huh? I kind of prefer these talky ones in a way, even though by now we're so far past the books it's just fan-service nonsense really. Tormund has some great lines.

I thought the reunion of Jon and Arya was seriously underdone.  When I saw my little sister after Iraq we both cried, and I was only gone for a year and knew I was going to see her.  (Actually come to think of it, did either of them know they were going to see each other before being reunited?)

I know they're stoic warriors and whatnot but honestly, they were each other's best friends during the happy times of their life, and when they see each other again they just sort of stand there and barely smile?  I suppose they're still keeping their emotions in check since they know the war isn't over, but even so.
