Cracking haul this year. Father Christmas has been munificent.

I must have been a very good boy. Seems unlikely.

Tell me about the pot. I'm an ex-potter. It looks hand-made, but there are some good fakes about.

It was thrown by No.3 son, who is currently sitting his MA at Goldsmiths.

He is hipster AF (he did the various ferments in jars) and it is for me to decant coffee with.

Is the chair a prop or part of the swag?

He started potting during his degree at Manchester. He's struggling now, as Goldsmiths has a poo ceramics facility.

I was wondering about that, because it's not even listed as a program or studio at Goldsmiths.

I totally got the wrong end of the stick reading that. I thought you meant Goldsmiths had a ceramic facility where poo was the exclusive medium of choice.

From what I know about Goldsmith's, that's a definite possibility.

No, he meant they make ceramic toilets.

I skimmed over this and initially read that he'd started potty training during his degree at Manchester - which seemed a bit late!

The mentioning of "poo" in the second sentence didn't help...  :-$

You've got to read around the poo.

His MA is in (I think) Design: Expanded Practice. It's taken him in directions he wasn't initially hugely confident about including some performative stuff. He's not showy and prefers, like me, to hide behind his work a bit.  But he's settled in now & seems very happy.
