However, I generally prefer watching stuff I haven't seen, such as Leon, only because there's so damned much of it.

Final verdict:

- The first 'half' of the movie owes much to 1970's porn flicks, the second borrows heavily from classic Hammer horror of the preceding era (particularly the grisly decapitation scenes), albeit with generally upgraded FX.

- Otherwise the film is fairly faithful and respectful throughout of the original Bram Stoker plot and scenarios.

- If Apocalypse Now is Coppola's 10/10, I give this 7/10 (and if we discount Oldman's contribution, 4/10). By Wes Craven's standard: 80/10.
