(I am incredibly bitter because a few years ago, I thought it'd be a bit of a jape to shamelessly buy into the marketing and take my girlfriend to the cinema on Valentine's Day to see A Good Day to Die Hard, and then she mentioned that her 75 year-old dear old mum would also like to see it, because she likes a good action file (and some astonishingly violent and gory horror films), so off we all toddled to the cinema, and we sat and watched it, and it was utter fucking dogshit, and the bits of that which weren't down to Bruce Willis phoning it in or the overwhelming shiteness of the writing, were down to Jai Courtney being a fucking sack of shitty spuds, and my girlfriend's mum was so unimpressed with it that I couldn't even look her in the eye afterwards because I was so embarrassed about thinking it might have been a fun way to spend an afternoon.
And then, after all that, he was in Terminator Genitals, a film so shit that I never made it to the end.)
I've seen that terminator film, but it didn't stick in my mind particularly. I've seen Jack Reacher and Suicide Squad. I can barely remember anything about Jack Reacher, however, on the strength of your complaint, I watched Suicide Squad again. Yes, indeed, he is quite underwhelming as Captain Boomerang, a little like an amateur theatrical enthusiast attempting an impression of Oliver Reed playing Bill Sykes, but missing it by several miles. That said, the ensemble in the ensemble cast never really happened and his badness is masked by other characters also being underwhelming.

Oh god, Suicide Squad is such a shoddy film. Everything about it is pretty much terrible. I'm sorry to hear you've seen it twice.
My favourite thing about his performance in Suicide Squad was the way they set up the toy unicorn thing, so that when he got shot, you expected the big reveal to be that he'd survived because the toy unicorn took the bullet, BUT in the end they didn't bother with that, and just had a wad of cash stopping the bullet.
