Is folding clothes a hassle for you? Then you may want to investigate this crock of shite:

https://www.ebuyer.com/blog/2018/01/laundry-folding-machine/?a=1&utm_content=machine&utm_campaign=5620|2018-01-16%2009&utm_source=daily_deals_0&utm_medium=email&cid=5620&mid=319577552

How does this improve things? The article seems to suggest that you'd take the laundered clothes once dry and load them into this thing. What if they needed ironing? This device doesn't seem feature a pressing option. I guess they want you to iron your clothes, then perform the human equivalent of what the machine does to stack them in a pile so you can pick the clothes one by one to then 'clip' your laundry into it.

Anyone who's ever dealt with a printer will sympathise with dude who's commented on that article, I'm not risking my Thundercats t-shirt in a glorified mangle. There's not a video of it actually working either, so I reckon there's a certain amount of taurine faeces associated with this.

I don't fold my laundry. I throw it in a pile.  (devil)

Besides, I thought you were posting about this: http://folding.stanford.edu/

when I glimpsed some similar press-release-turned-into-tech-blog "article" I assumed it must be aimed at laundry services, but those photos suggest they think people will put it in their homes?

I dunno, there's a lot of rich idiots out there buying things like 'raw water' but this seems a tough sell.

What does Mrs. D think about that?

I did have the folding at home (and work) application a few years ago, but for some reason never reinstalled it on recent PCs. That's something to get back into.

Raw water? I wasn't aware of the craze, but after the obligatory google, found an article saying that some rich hippies are buying a jugful at £25 a pop. :|

"What does Mrs. D think about that?"

Out of sight, out of mind. She will sometimes comment "that is too wrinkled to wear to work" on garments fetched from the bottom of the pile.

Come the times where I can't be arsed ironing a shirt, I'll pop a fleece over the top and go to work like that.

I'm seriously considering paying someone to do my ironing, which is just my work shirts. A work colleague does this, and he's incredibly tight but clearly more lazy than tight.

I really do hate ironing.

:-D It's an ugly ugly thing. It reminds me of the old K-Tel adverts - they were the shit. I must have posted this before, but the best one is this:

I like the bit in the video you linked to - 'It can be moved to where you normally fold'. :'-D  I do enjoy having a folding spot in my house, it's three steps down the landing from our bedroom and then I rotate between 30 and 33 degrees.

I don't mind doing the ironing if I can watch the TV while I'm doing it. Unfortunately the ironing time often coincides with family veg out time on a Sunday and the TV's usually given over to Disney or Thomas the Tank Engine.

No-one gets a look in if the F1's on though. I guess this might be the last season of being able to do that if Sky get their way and it all goes PPV. :C

According to Kenny's linky video they were releasing that thing last year. Perhaps you're right and things didn't quite go to plan on the selling front...
