My MXQ Android 4.4.2 boxes have reached the end of their shelf & I'm after another. I need no more apps than VLC/iPlayer/All4 at 1080p. Does the possie own anything the would recommend?

Anything Amlogic S905 or S905X based. Or possibly S912.

Ta Ant.  I bought & returned THIS (which is Rockchip, not Amlogic). It was well reviewed, but wouldn't stream All 4 video, and VLC videos wouldn't resize to full screen.

I've got a few S905 boxes running Libreelec for kodi. But you clearly want/need the android side too for apps. I've generally gone for the cheapest box I can find on Aliexpress.

My preference for Amlogic is because of the Libreelec support due to them being more open with kernel, drivers etc, which I can't imagine you're all that bothered with.

Was that an Android version problem?
