The tv version is worth checking out just to see some of the material left out. Still prefer Lynch's version and i've still got to see the documentary on Jodorosky's 'vision'. Think it'll be interesting.

I also prefer Lynch's version. I've read Dune and most of the sequels, but although the TV series covered a lot more, it sort of missed the atmosphere.
