Presumably the gas pipeline needs to go somewhere, so just agree that they pay a fair rent and require it to be built through the trees with a zip line attached and maybe a bob-sleigh channel on top, problem solved and everyone wins.
The bigger issue would be the whole being-in-Pennsylvania (and thus the US) aspect of such a plan.
