Yeah, one of you hosts the lobby but that doesn't mean you're hosting the game. You make a lobby, invite your friends to the lobby then press go and it finds a server for you.
But yeah, it'll be L4D2 we'll be playing. It's better than 1 and also contains all of 1's content so 1 is pretty much redundant.

No, they use the SteamOS icon for Linux now. I've seen lots of people confused by this. The Steamplay logo is just the words "steam play", the SteamOS logo is the jointy thing.
And yeah, we can use in-game voice chat, which isn't bad. And that way you won't get all my game noise as I have no noise cancellation and hate headphones.
Might be worth setting up a Discord room too though for any possible future gaming. I'll do that now.
Did y'all have a game? I played it (L4D1) all afternoon in single player mode. I still really, really suck. :-/
