I cannot get a Live USB stick to boot on my machine /at all/. Despite having Secure Boot turned off in the BIOS it seems that enabling UEFI also enables Secure Boot. Thanks for all the help everyone. Managed to get it to work after re-imaging the USB stick for the umpteenth time with the exact same image. System Rescue CD does usb and might work out of the box. I can boot the newer/est imacs here with it on a usb stick no probs. Dunno about secure boot. ---- "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters"
