OK, so it's $296,000, but that's only £190,000. Bargain!

Now all I have to do is sell it to the missus.

ha, we cannot view that page in the UK. Sigh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WxO6TwnFzU I guess if I could afford one of those I could probably also have somewhere to actually drive the thing. Or maybe you can drive it anywhere since it'd take the army to stop you.

I don't understand that BBC policy. You pay the licence fee so you can't view content those who don't pay it are allowed to see.

Doesn't make sense. Perhaps that's* one of the excesses/trivialities that will get trimmed as part of the charter review.

* BBC AUTO seems largely to be merkan content

Had an email this morning from those nice chaps at 38 Degrees asking me to sign a petition about protecting the BBC. I've agreed with most of their stuff over the years, but this seems petulant on their part.

"Programmes like The Voice, Strictly Come Dancing... entertain millions" and apparently the BBC do "important investigative journalism". I don't think reality TV is worth saving and while the news is done objectively, the only investigative stuff I see is on Watchdog. The true value of the Beeb is in it's educational stuff, nature docs and BBC 4 are the only thing I tune in for nowadays. And it looks like BBC 4's going the way of the dodo anyway. :C

The fact that Strictly entertains millions is more a sad indictment of said millions IMO

And isn't the BBC's impartiality one of the points under question?

Buy it over there, I'll split it with you. We need it. Tell the missus you are only paying for half, it is a 50% discount. You saved 95,000 pounds!!!

I'd genuinely argue that the BBC is one of the best sources for news in the world.

I'd genuinely agree. But that doesn't mean it's not flawed.
