I read, but cannot for the life of me remember where, something about how the institutionalised racism of the US police does indeed include affecting the way their black cops deal with black citizens. It's a messed up world and no mistake. What're the Swiss like? I suppose it's headline news when someone crosses the street without waiting for the green man over there. The Metropolitan Police are hardly paragons of virtue with this sort of thing, I'm just glad we don't yet need to arm them all.
