Nope, never saw it, but if it was half as good as the new one, then it must've been brilliant. Apart from the ship of the imagination pointlessness, the rest was very nicely done. The animated bits were nicely done and a lot of them introduced me to concepts and discoverers I'd not heard of before. Things like the lead poisoning debacle I knew bits about, but things like how infrared was discovered and so on. Really enjoyed it. I also liked the fact it stuck two fingers (or one...being American) up to the creationist stuff on more than one occasion. You know what he said? Ah need 'bout tree-fiddy.

Speak to Jim, it's still well worth a watch. The stuff on relativity is very well explained (if a little odd with Sagan cycling around Tuscany).

It was another one I just couldn't get into very much. If I'm addicted to a show it would have to be either Criminal Minds or Law & Order SVU. I love them! I have all the Battlestar Galactica shows, and considering what they did with the latest one and the movies, they could really do a lot with something like Space 1999. I'd just love to see what they could come up with for it. I'd also like to know why they seem to have a thing for killing good shows after one or two seasons. They did it with Earth 2, Firefly could've gone a lot farther than it did, and then along comes Terra Nova. All good shows. All gone before their time.
