Hmm, that won? So Frontier want Elite Dangerous to sound like Star Wars. It's a solid score, don't get me wrong, but it just sounds like so many other pieces in that genre. I much prefer the X Rebirth score in the other clip. Reminds me of Eve Online trailers. They always fell more... spacey? Kinda epic, with a technological feel.
I really want to play the beta but a bit loath to spend £50 to do it. I played it at lavecon and was completely sucked in, loved every minute of it. I have also ordered the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 for when this game comes out officially.
Wife would say, "it's your money, do what you like" which is code for "spend money on this at your peril"
OR, I could just spend it and not tell her like the Rift.
