In a (not so) similar vein, I just received this email flyer. I believe the 90s are on the banana phone and are requesting their advertising back.

I spent a good few minutes today zooming in on the background to see how they'd generated it.  :-$

You could call them. But what you see there is literally all I got in the body of the email, and I can't see a damn phone number anywhere. Maybe the background is a magic eye picture of their numbers?

I don't know really, the flyer was so retro it brought it to mind for the first time in years. Serif Pageplus, free on PC Format magazine!

I suppose Adobe InDesign is DTP sort of? What do they call that now?

I guess what my brother's company does is what was essentially DTP.

Page setting with artwork? Graphic design?

I remember getting that!  What a coup it was.  Then, later, they cover-mounted Truespace 4.2 (still a pretty good 3d application, actually).

It wasn't just Serif Pageplus, it was DrawPlus as well. Still got the coverdisc !

I occasionaly use both for basic stuff.

They don't.
I have a spare HDD running XP with loads of old incompatible but good/usefull software installed on it. I plug this in when needs arise.

Mainly because I have a load of files and records going back over the years that won't work on more modern OS's.
eg.
Lotus 123
Serif
Quicken
Sound Studio Gold

Some games and other apps.

Surely if you forgot about them sooner they wouldn't be old things.

Lotus 123? That brings back memories, I remember getting that free with my first PC, which I ashamedly bought from Time Computers. (fail) It never really worked right, but it got me into the whole fixing/tinkering aspect of PCs.
