I don't think that there are any touch-centric distros as such (Android aside). Wouldn't really make much sense since it's just a case of supporting the hardware and doing sommat with the inputs, which is between the kernel and the window manager. Not much for a distro to do there really (nor much call for it). Unity, Gnome3 and KDE4 all attempt to support touch but I think only KDE has done a decent job of it so far with Plasma Active. Mint's KDE version works pretty good on my XPS 12. The touchscreen works at least, but the default install isn't optimized for touch. I am going to try to install the Active stuff on it and see how that goes. One issue I had with it is/was the touchpad. It's seen as a mouse instead of touchpad so none of the advanced features are available. It's an odd brand of pad so I'm not sure how to get it working.
