TV and films told me.

They normally seem to get it spot on. :(

I prefer to do things than sit around doing nothing. I spend far too much time lying asleep doing nothing, so don't like doing it when I'm not supposed to be asleep.

Yeah, if I do nothing I feel like doing nothing.

Here's the secret. If someone tells me to do something I refuse. But if I decide to do it I do it!

My daughter is just like me. If my wife tells her to do something she won't do it. Pisses my wife off to no end. So I /ask/ her and she does it.

That doesn't make sense - why doesn't your wife just ask from the start?

I would probably refuse you too, 'cus I'm stubborn like that, but might not refuse if the first time was a request.

Also... is she old enough to realise what you do to get her to do things, or does she just like pissing your wife off? :D

Because my wife LOVES to bark orders. That's how she thinks things get done.

My daughter and I are from the same mold. We will drag our feet until we feel like doing it.

My daughter is 14 so she's quite aware of what she's doing. And she knows that when I ask I really mean do it or else, but she feels that she at least has a choice instead of an order.

Shave your hair, then people will /think/ you're a human weapon.

And grow a goatee. People don't mess with people with beards.

You ever seen Santa take a hit? No... that's the beard in action.

:-O my head isn't the correct shape to be shaved. My ears are so big, that without hair, oh my, I can't even imagine how I'd look!

I can try that beard action though!

The beard/shaved head thing works for my brother. It makes him look fairly scary.

Though that is buoyed up by the fact he's 22 stone. :-/

Some people can pull that look off. I'm not one of them. I used to like my hair like Peter's but I've outgrown that.

You've got to have the right shaped face - but with enough confidence anyone could probably pull it off.

To be fair most of us men are going to go bald, so at some point we'd better get used to having no hair!

I used to sport a long coif too, I kinda liked it, but it took ages to look anywhere near decent, the crap looking intermediary stages of hair growing were awful, all curling round my ears and looking like I'd slept will rollers in... all until it was heavy enough to pull the curls out under its own weight.

Edit: Thankfully no pictures of it survive. :-S

Yup, I remember those days. I also remember the mullet days. Not sure what we were thinking, but we sure were cool!

I think I might get lucky. My dad went gray, but he hasn't lost any hair. I've started to go gray as well but not losing any hair yet.

Never had a mullet myself, they were going out of fashion as I was toddling around.

They seem to be making something of a resurgence over here recently, I've seen a few kids running around with the horrible rat tail like growths of hair at the back of the head, and the other day I saw a ginger kid sporting a full blown mullet, running around the local supermarket. (fail)
