What about the two libyan jets that defected to Malta after their squadron was ordered to bomb the protesters? And the rest of the squadron that is apparently carrying out their orders :|

Thinking about it, this could be the start of WW3.

Things going pear shaped in Iran, they kick off against Israel to divert the attentions away from anti government protests. Israel fights back, kicking Iranian butt. China jumps in, as they relay on Iranian oil, to keep Iran running. US jumps in to help Israel. UK wishes it still had an aircraft carrier. And aircraft.

Is that the Chinese way of saying Arabia?

</racism>

Doesn't everyone pronounce Libya the way Steve laid out rather than to rhyme with Bush's 'Dubya' moniker?

I don't think I've ever heard anyone pronounce it otherwise, but then I don't watch much American telly.

Yeah, the Americans probably have their own inimitable way of saying it - does anyone know any Libyans? Maybe we should take their lead on pronoucing it.

The news is about the only thing I watch on TV nowadays. :-Y

Oh and the odd bit of corrie should the wife be wanting to watch it on catch up. That's a terrible programme. Do you ever get subjugated to the British soaps over there? If you do, I really am sorry. :-[

How could one be subjugated to a soap?

If one is anything like my wife, she's submissive, almost enslaved, if you will, to the whims, trials and tribulations of the good people of <wherever Coronation Street's set>.
