It's a bit of a long story and probably too boring for anyone not in the family. Short version is my sister-in-law (Sue) doesn't get on with my Mum. Sue's fairly volatile when she wants to be and is very protective of her daughter (from a previous relationship). The daughter's very brash and seemingly gets away with murder. Anywho, on Christmas Day we'd told my eldest not to open a set of jigsaws belonging to his younger brother (they had tons of pieces and we didn't want them mixing up). While Clare and I were in the kitchen getting the pudding and white sauce ready, Sue's daughter decided she was going to play with them. My eldest got upset with her because he'd been told not to open them, my Mum told the daughter that Stephen (my youngest) should get to open them as they were his. Sue saw this as an excuse to blame my Mum, citing she'd been insulting the daughter. So when we were bringing up the pudding she was walking out of the door - no goodbye, reason or thanks for the meal. It really fecked us off. :-@ My brother hung around though and got thoroughly beaten at trivial pursuit by my 4 year old. :D
