Decided to finally get on with it and make one of the things I think of before some other fucker does.

 

After carefully evaluating all the available tech, I am creating my masterpiece in ASP.NET MVC and Silverlight 2, to be hosted in Windows Azure. 3 new toys in one development! Geekgasm.

It will be usable by anybody who downloads and installs the free, cross-platform, cross-browser plug-in, like 25% of internet users already have, and 25% more will just so they can use my great new thingy.

I'm using the same language and tool-set to create the web site and the services and the Silverlight application, with integrated debugging across the whole thing.

The Silverlight 2 plug-in is smaller than the Flash player and doesn't require any other frameworks to be installed.
