Ah, it has Rita Tushingham, one of my boyhood crushes. I can't forgive her for growing old, but I may well give this a look anyway.
If you had read something like this prior, would you still have watched it? (wondering if you would care to rate it)
Not replying for Manthrob, but do you mean if he'd read a book with clunkily drawn characters would he watch the film of it?
Not a book, just something like his own comment about the film.
Ah, I see.
FWIW I might. In fact, I probably will in this case.
I'll wait for it to show up at the library in ~2-3 months and take a look.
I'd still rate it pretty high, because what's good is very, very good. And it may be that, forewarned, you & WmA and anyone who reads this may be more forgiving of the characterisation than I was. I somewhat overexpect of Edgar Wright.
8/10, could have been 10/10
She doesn't gat a huge amount of screen time, but she's as good as you would hope.
didn't like the looks of the trailer on the big screen ... stylishly vapid (the trailer, FWIW) ? Wrights done some great projects, and some not so great. I'll look forward to seeing this one on the small screen. Still haven't seen Baby Driver, which looks a bit more my speed. so to speak.
