Well, the windows may overlap but at least it's not fucking Windows.

I did look into running z/OS on Hercules a couple of years ago, simply because I enjoy messing around in a TSO/ISPF environment (sad, I know). Hercules is free - z/OS isn't but the internet is big, but it's really, really hard to implement and after I'd spent a couple of months looking at the logistics I decided against it.

There's a big market in second-hand mainframes. I have a friend who used to buy and sell them, some for parts, some for full installation and use.

What'd be /really/ interesting is a look inside everyone's recycle bin.

Mainly for games and Adobe stuff. Really wish they (Adobe) would port to Linux, since they've already done it for mac [/bsd], but they've got a captive market, and are probably taking graft from Apple and Microsoft both to not.

mine's really boring, it has some kind of space bg like the one on Kos's but its just one 1440p screen. I don't really care what the things around and behind the thing I'm looking at, look like.

I like your wallpaper fuckerer script thing, make it upload the pic somewhere and make me a thing that downloads it and assigns it, please :C Or just the first bit and I'll do the second one myself, in fucking Windows.

I have a recycle bin but shift-delete at all times. Silly things.

When it makes one I particularly like I do save them. So I have a directory of them. I'll zip it up and share.

Here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=17-1I-dmpypP-cVuw789ULvb5FALgIq8j

(Some of them predate the addition of the fake aberration)

It'd definitely be possible to recreate the script for fucking Windows since it just uses ffmpeg and imagemagick. But I wouldn't know how. Could use WSL, that'd be fun!

I remember around 5 years ago I got a big folder of images from Google satellite of various locations. I think they were mainly industrial, geometric looking, had them cycling through as my background at my last job. Wonder if I can find the folder.

That sounds cool.

I had a script ages ago that got a random Wikipedia pic of the day from the pic of the day archives and made that my wallpaper every hour or so. Was all grand, some nice pics in there, until I started getting pictures of diseases and famines and atrocities and stuff.

Oh, there's a map too https://new-images-preview-dot-earth-viewer.appspot.com/map/

I've been exploring GoogleEarth VR for aberrations in the procedural modelling, and some of my screengrabs have made it to the desktop.
