Oddball London copper tackles Caribbean crime. More soporific than amusing.

Police procedural/locked room drama series. Sub-Agatha Christie quality. Nice earner for the cast. Immensely popular in UK.

The copper is I suppose meant to be a [stereo-] 'typical,' 'no-nonsense' (etc) London detective, who bizarrely persists in wearing a suit, tie, and dress shoes long after deplaning in the unpaved and broiling-hot 'paradise'.

I assume he brought a spare suit, and there's a dry-cleaner somewhere around who specializes in removing perspiration stains, because he is always immaculately turned out. Such are the details that captured my interest.

So true!! never trust a man in a blue trench coat, never drive a car when you're dead as you said. Cops are so brutal and corrupted not only on tv, but in real life. But situation in UK gets better. Independent organisations self controll inside police departments. Hope there will be more organisations such as aaappp . It's an association against abuse of power by police if somebody still haven't heard about them.
