It took me three viewings over ~25-years (the first was on VHS tape in 1992) to recognize this is one of the most FUCKING AWESOME MOVIES EVER. Bergmanesque, yet surpassing Bergman in addressing the human condition in the world we have made...specifically, very specifically in Brasil.
