Bear in mind it's a one-play job (though they've just announced a DLC that neatly plays off the ending (You should avoid any discussion of the ending as it's massive spoiler territory, which will also necessitate avoiding reading the details of the DLC. Fuck. Play Primal instead. But Valley of the Yeti DLC first).

Are you sure about that? I've seen some youtubes of user-made FC5 maps + missions that look ok.

Yeah, I was just talking about the core game. I can't imagine I'll ever play it again (though I'd quite like to polish my fishing skills, which I never really got the hang of - but I can do that perfectly well in the post game sandbox).  The Vietnam total conversion DLC looks like it might be fun.

Yeah I like the looks of the 'Nam dlc, though it's extra cost.

I'm leaning towards the purchase, with the 20% discount it's very close to the price in the thread title. Will hold off another day or two to ponder... what's the sandbox like? FC3's is ace, at least with the mod I put on it. I still play it quite a bit, even though FC4 is slowly edging it out.

The sandbox is a bit limp because the core game ending moves the goalposts significantly. Nuff said.

FC5 now on humble for CA$31.81 (it's like 80 bucks in the ubistore, I guess these mofos have yet to figure out how the internet works) ... I think I'll keep waiting on this one.

Bought it last night, last day of the Lunar NY sale for Can$20 - 20% ubi points discount.

I'm starting a replay through FC4, the intro story makes a lot more sense after a play through.

I'll be doing a replay on 'hard' difficulty, right now I'm redoing base caps with different load outs.
