I've got a nice 3 bottle wooden wine box that I'm going to build an amplifier/sound system from.

Got most of the parts already apart from some nice buttons and knobs (nj).

When I've had a look for cheap push buttons I've only found rubbish looking things. Not sure what style I want, something that will look good against wood.

I've already got a load of this type (in a few colours including black), but would prefer not to use them because they look naff


 

Or maybe I should use PCB mounted switches to make it as minimal as possible.

Dunno if it's your style, but a steampunk inspired button'd go well against wood.

Chrome ones always look nice. Alternatively mount the mechanism on a pcb (either standard microswitch or go for some nice cherry mechanical ones) and make. A custom cover, although that will be a lot harder to do.

Bloody steampunk.... But that button does look nice.

I've bought a load of 13mm tall PCB switches (box side panel is 10mm) for the time being.

The chrome ones look nice but possibly too big. But I probably shouldn't put on too many buttons.

Once, I told a bird she had nice buttons and switches...

What did she do, fly away or peck your eyes out?

My PCB type buttons have arrived, I could do with one of those cheapo dremel type things I mentioned ages ago, and an actual plan and parts list.
