There needs to be a middle finger  (finger) that will have to do for now!

No, I only have two in use right now.  Some are going to be used for my whole house auto system when I stop being lazy and get it started.

Oi don't you middle finger me :P

Only 2 out of 12? You need to put more of them to use :) Saying that I have enough spare components to make about 10 Arduino boards.

Yeah I sure do.  I have plans for a bunch, I just need to get doing them!  I have a few Zigbee modules on the way that will use one or two.

I looked in two Asdas and neither had the magazine.

Ignore them, baby! (hug)

I read that other thread first and paid no heed to their waffle; there was no mention of a tiny $5 computer with a link to the official announcement, as was the case in your far superior and more appropriately named thread.

If I get one, it'll be thanks to you.

Have you seen the mapof where to buy the magazine? https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/how-to-get-magpi-40/

I had a look in the Tesco in Carmarthen this morning but couldn't see it. According to the map they should have had it.

I hadn't! There's a couple of places on my way home that might have it so I'll give them a go.

Good God!  Did you happen to take a look at all the options I have to choose from? :-&

Haha. So much choice for you :) How far are you away from that?

About 8 hours.  It's pretty close to our US headquarters which is in Troy, MI.  I wonder if my boss would run around there a see if they had one for me?

I checked the local WHSmith earlier. The entire magazine area was full, except for a single empty slot between other Raspberry Pi and Linux magazines...

Have you seen the price these thongs are going for on eBay? Craziness.

Give it a few weeks and stocks will be fine. Not managed to find one of the magazines so I'll just wait for stocks to replenish online.

Not that I need one.

Might actually be realistic to have it totally solar powered outside.

Pi's are ok for very basic control functions, but sheesh! They're shit for any graphical function, really. I think Greyhair & I wrung the best out of them with this a couple of years ago: https://vimeo.com/76662378

And if anyone (including me) ever tells you the life of an artist is romantic, try lining 6 acres of shallow pool with white plastic.

If you were Damien Hirst, you your paid lackeys would have lined them with pave diamonds.
