we took the kids to the UK to see my parents over new year. Both of them love castles, so while there we took them to Deal Castle.
In the basement is a corridor with a door that faced the low-set, bright morning sun, which flooded in through the small cracks. The kids' coloured coats lit the space up. Sofie, rad; Emily, blue; Fiona (big kid), black).

Yeah, that or Dover (Walmer was closed, and we've been there already). We'd like to do Leeds or Hever, but they're best left to the better weather.
