I need a 'nix hero!

Hello my foreign friends!  I need some assistance from a Linux pro please!

I have to deploy 50 of these before the first of September, and for the most part it's not a big deal but there is something that could be a very big deal!  These things were ordered by my boss, and instead of getting them with the integrated wifi he opted for a USB stick.  So on to the possibly big deal...

The OS I'm running is their ThinPro.  It's a stripped down version of Debian or Ubuntu and that could be some of my issue.  I don't have enough space to upgrade the kernel or to install all the updates actually.  Not that your supposed to.  They try their best to keep you from messing with the underlying 'nix but I was able to break it very well a couple of times!  The kernel is labeled as 3.8.13-hp.

The USB wifi adapter is a generic model that works with a Realtek RTL8191U driver.  I booted a couple of live distros on the TC and was able to get the wifi working .  So I thought I could just copy that driver and firmware over but it didn't work.  I also tried ndiswrapper, but the OS is so butchered up that make won't fucking run, I can't seem to find the src files so that's probably why.  So hello, hello, hello... is there anybody out there?  Just nod if you can fix this... is there anyone home?

Seriously, if you have the skillz and time I would not hesitate to send you some crisp 'merican dollars, or maybe even some FREEDOM!

Thanks my bitches!
