Ken, you should post some of your recent prints.

A few bits that I've recently made/printed. I've been going for practical over decorative.

Designed a mount/holder for the webcam pointed at my electric meter. Gone from it being taped to some cardboard with leds to it mounted nicely. Fully designed by me on tinkercad (not that it's complex)

I've also printed a few bits for camera mounts. I designed the kitchen timer mount, and added the gopro mount to the g-clamp design from thingiverse.

Finally got my hands on some cheap black PLA that's printing quite well so far.

How's the printing going?
Making use of it or gathering dust?

Still using it.  Did you see the portrait head I did of my partner's son for his birthday?

The app I used - Zephyr lite - struggled with his quiffy hair, but broadly produced a good likeness.  I've also created a replacement battery compartment lid for a vintage toy, a replacement liner for a Victorian salt and I'm awaiting a day's photography to try & flog the vessels I've been printing to craft & design shops.

I didn't, that's quite impressive. Are those bits at the front supports?

Yeah. Flashprint generates them automatically.. I assume all the print applications do.

Yeah many do but they look particularly interesting and better designed. Might look into that software.

It's free.  Flashforge-specific, but only, I think, to the extent of the print size and number of print nozzles: you place your print model within a box and Flashprint warns if it's outside those parameters. As long as you keep an eye on size & position I imagine it would work OK with other machines.
