I don't have any hosting at the moment, that's what I'm after. I'll look up "permanent redirection", ta, and find out why and how to avoid it.

$1.23 a month is about £9 a year.

Can do better than that: £5 a year with HostMedia.

If you can be bothered signing up four times, you could probably get their one-domain-only no-monthly-fee plan for 4×£1 setup for what you need.

Permanent redirect is just the status code used - 301 and 308 indicate permanent redirect.

The default is generally 302, which is non-permanent (i.e. re-checked with each request).

A permanent redirect is only as permanent as any caches involved, so not as irreversible as the name might suggest.
