What do people think? Is this going to be worth playing?

Yeah rebirth is the first game that makes me think about returning to the x universe . Looks good as does the story line

after seeing that x rebirth I really don't know where I am going top find the time to play both of these games AND all the others coming out soon. 

Elite is looking pretty awesome though mate!

Hmm, that won? So Frontier want Elite Dangerous to sound like Star Wars. It's a solid score, don't get me wrong, but it just sounds like so many other pieces in that genre. I much prefer the X Rebirth score in the other clip. Reminds me of Eve Online trailers. They always fell more... spacey? Kinda epic, with a technological feel. 

Has anyone got the Beta yet? I just downloaded and I thinks it is looking very good. Docking is very good, not crashed yet.

I got it yesterday. My ship has exploded many times :'(

I've only been playing it in solo mode, because I hate people.

I really want to play the beta but a bit loath to spend £50 to do it. I played it at lavecon and was completely sucked in, loved every minute of it. I have also ordered the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 for when this game comes out officially.

Jo mentioned you chaps were talking about this. I've recently started playing the Beta and I'm enjoying it immensely, despite a few glitches ( http://www.twitch.tv/m/600053 ).

There are some Rock Paper Shotgunners who play, but they don't have a group yet so I'm going to set one up shortly.

Add me (Killamarshian) and Black Scorpion. His group, also called black scorpion are quite civilised.
