This thread does not deliver. 40 minute videos...pfft, like we have an attention span that long.   

And there isn't even a single cat falling into a bath.

The video is almost 2 hours long, I just want you to at least watch the first 40 minutes.

I know, right. No cute animals or explosions in the first 30 seconds, I'm done.  :) 

In all honesty, if you had provided some context and a reason to watch, I may have. But a "watch this" just doesn't do it when I have other things competing for my attention. 

I explained what it was I wanted everyone to see in other posts.  I was pressed for time when I posted the video so I didn't have a chance to explain what it was.  Sorry!  Wait a minute, I'm not from Canada so I'm not sorry!

Seriously though, what do you think about what's going on?  It seems they are actually going to stop free speech and go after reporters.

I don't think. It's not safe to think. They'll soon be after anyone who commits thought crimes. :S

I just realized after watching that podcast that every email I get from teh is being scanned.

Maybe we should try to get everyone in the whole world to insert explosive words into every message to trigger all the flags and get the bloody bastards chasing after endless decoys.

All we'd have to do is encrypt all our mail.  Just huge empty files all encrypted up. They are saving all that.

Now there's a feature for Beehive - allow public keys as profile fields, and when populated use it to send encrypted emails.

Also, why is there no SSL setup for Teh. Can just use a self-signed certificate to get the TLS benefits, right?

Can do, but have fun trying to convince all browsers to accept the self signed certificate. Probably be cheaper in time and effort to just buy a real cert.

I'm not going to watch that video, and I'm not going to read the transcript , but do they mention anywhere whether The Feds consider using encrypted communications as a signifier of suspicious activity, and therefore would be more likely to flag you up? From what I remember, it's an offence not to give up your PGP keys when asked, so all in all, if you've got nothing to hide, using encryption is just going to make you look suspicious, and if you do have something to hide, They'll just beat your keys out of you.
