I thought I was getting rid of a cold and it's come back with a vengeance. Then my next door neighbour died of cancer on Saturday after slowly degenerating over a period of two years from a widely travelled and deeply interesting fellow to a mere shadow of his former self. Then my cousin's wife had a miscarriage 5 months in, then my Nan died on Mother's Day.
Kind makes my cold seem a little less important.
