That's why we should decide on a date before train tickets for that date go on sale. Right now that's up to about the 11th of November...

That's a Sunday! Drinking on a Sunday, that's bad that is.

That's just the most future tickets that are currently available.

Edinburgh-Leeds return is £35 if booked to arrive midday on 10th Nov and leave midday on 11th Nov.

Same journey for 8th/9th Sep is £80 - more than twice the price!

This is why confirming a place and date well in advance helps to guarantee better turnout!

Or set a date and ask everyone who can attend on that date to give their coordinates, then get Mikee to write a script to determine a list of major hubs with the best transport connections for the most people? :)

You should add Banbury to that list, then I can take you on a tour of my fine town.

Ok, maybe not.

Is that the place on the coast with the castle ?

Think I use to go on school trips there.

No, that's Dover. Or Rochester. Or Hastings. Or Edinburgh. Or Dornie. Or Tintagel. Or plenty of others that are actually on the coast.

Banbury is in the middle of Oxfordshire, and has neither a coastline nor a castle.
(excluding the one that was demolished 350+ years ago)

Unless you count the River Cherwell as coast line, no it's not.

We don't have a castle either, but we used to. It was standing sometime during the English Civil War for sure.

(Banbury is Junction 11 of the M40, between Oxford and Birmingham)

Would love a Christmas meet, especially after my very late dropout of Leeds which I was most upset about.
