Anybody else listened to this and happy to provide feedback?

Next one is being recorded a week tomorrow and I already have a few ideas on how keep improving, but would like to get objective feedback.

Not listened yet but I'm sure I'll have plenty to say when I do (nod)

Yes, if you're going to go to the trouble of editing it, at least edit out yourself opening the can of Redbull :)

Even Kenny got confused briefly the second time it happened!

I would hope so (nod nod)...
Not least on the lack of jingle music :)

Ohh if only I could take the blame ....

That would be Kos (I know because I debated cutting it from his audio track).
Also it was a much more patriotic can of Tennants lager!

The same can which he spilt all over his carpet later on that podcast!

I listened while I pulled some CAT5 through my walls and into the attic, so my attention wasn't always the best. But I enjoyed it. I think I enjoy the accents more than anything.

Why'd you use CAT5 and not 6? Just wondering 'cos (as mentioned in a thread I'd forgotten about) I'm getting ready to cable my house up and was toying with paying the extra for CAT6 just to be future proofed n'that. Not that anything I'll be using ATM will need use the extra bandwidth.

It's actually 5e which does Gigabit as well. It's just what I had a box of. I have most of my shop and basement wired with it and Gigabit works fine.

That's an Americanism that confuses me still. Your "shop". Is that like what we would call our garage or our shed. Except those are generally outbuildings and I think your shop sounds like it's within your house. But a room with loads of tools and shit.

A shop is a shop, like what you guys call a store for some reason.

Probably derived from workshop?

Ah, I see. Sorry. Sometimes people do call a workshop a shop but in this case it's a building that I used to have my business in. Right now it's full of stuff that we don't have room for, but I'm planning on remodeling it and turning it into a place where the kids can hang out.

Aha, thanks PB and Ken! I should've thought of that.

"it's a building that I used to have my business in."

So in this case he meant ....erm ...his shop :)

Yeah, he should call it a store! It's so confusing. Make episode 3 feature Ken explaining what words mean.

I know it's strange. But that's what we've always called it. It could be a store but it's not a store anymore!

It'd be nice to have a list of the URLs for the websites mentioned/etc, to save people re-searching for stuff.

Also, something that might just be me, but when one person talks for a long time, it's easy to start drifting off and ignoring it - when there are random interjections/laughs/etc from others it helps to draw me back in.

Cheers for that PB!

Will try and mix things up a bit, I think we are all just a bit too polite.

As for the links, ideally I would like to get a section of the site where we could upload the episodes and includes the links and show notes there.

Potentially as we get cleverererer, we can do enhanced casts which will have the links on screen as we go.

Thinking of getting one of these if this becomes a regular hobby.

I am seriously keeping a record of the feedback to have I front of us on the next cast, so please folks have a listen and let us know you're thoughts.
