Much brouhaha in the media about the cuts that are going to be necessary if Britain is ever going to get back to reasonable levels of national debt.
But: everybody seems to take it as read that Health spending must be ring-fenced and continue to increase, and it pisses me off. I'm fine with improving people's quality of life and all that, but isn't it about time, given over-population problems, carbon-emission targets and the spiralling cost of social security, that we start letting more people just die?
