Iv been studying Dave!!!'s configuration.
I really want a 320mb GeForce 8800.
But on the strength of the CPU might settle for a 8600.
Is it worth buying the fastest DX 9 card? X1950 Pro atm innit?

I might get some t-shirts made with that on for everyone at the Northern meat.

The 8600 is a lot slower than the 8800. Less than half the speed I believe. The X1950 Pro is still a very good card and well worth considering for its price.

11am everything arrives. Yay!
8 hours later I get it full working.

Wanna know why?
Do ya?

All because I did not blow on on the mobo DIMM slots and new RAM.
8 hours of thinking that DIMM 1 didnt work.

I /want/ a new PCI-E GFX card. This onboard GeForce 6100 makes me old X800 look like PacMan. Imagine what a DX 9 card will do.

Wooo Hooo!
