let me start a new THREAD !!!

Theres no way on earth im gonna let The History Of Light Entertainment (BBC 12 - 1:15am) tell me Ant & Deck are the new Morcombe and Wise. No way on earth.
For starters M & W worked for a living, A & D are presenters pure and simple.
A & D = Child actors, failed pop stars, and now presenters with one film under there belt.

FWIW: I agree, Ant & Dec shouldn't be mentioned in the same league as Morecombe and Wise.

the 90s were truely the 2nd greatest decade of all time
the 60s was the first

Oasis the new Beatles.
Vic & Bob the new Morcomb and Wise

The 60s and the 90s. Best decades of all time ever.

70s and the 00s - the worst decade of all time.

I dont mind the 10s being like the 80s though.

i do fear for the 10s though
the internet has made any decade wide open avalible to anyone
so any influence maybe reached
i need to have kids soon so the 20s can be like the 90s and my children grow up with 90s music
this is the way it works in life and the way it should stay
its all the same pop culture but played in a differnet key or color altered
the 60s - 90s
its all the same record but spinning to a differnet beat

25 million viewers for M & W Christmas show !!!!
25 million!!!!
the world has changed for the worst
because there was a sence of community when everyone was chatting about what they watched on tv
it was the same in the 90s but with film not so much tv
satellite tv was hitting hard in the 90s

who the hell needs it
did we not survive in the 60s 70s 80s and 90s with telephones
did more pensioners die in the 60s and 70s with turn dial phones
do pensioners with mobile phones die because of small keys on mobiles
its all youth orientated culture but its so new noones knows where its going
well kids today grow out of mobile phone crapness or will it go on and on and on and on and on
if i have a heart attack i press 9 9 9
if I get knocked over on the street someone phones the proper people
actually where are all the phone boxes
and two UK now owe the US nothing for loaning us money for the rebuilding of the Uk after ww2
does this mean taxes can be lowered
how much did we pay the US 8million
260million in todays money

im no interested in carrying a stupid little device that serves as a phone everywhere i go
i did survive in the 1990s

1990
phone or be phoned - mate or me talks for a bit, then arrange a place to meet, then a time, settle on it hang up.
Meet mate/mates, goto pub club, finish at 2am goto taxi rank or get food, go home, sleep.
Await phone calls, meanwhile live life, without annoying pointless text messages, pictures or ringtones playing on a silly little device.

I suspect there were worse decades than this and the 70's. The 1340s with the black death or the 1910s with WWI or the 30s/40s with WWII I would imagine not having any records because they'd all been bombed by Zee Germans would be worse than there being a lot of chesy manufactured pop being released.

Aged 42, lying in an oxygen tent and not expected to live after a major heart attack, Eric Morecombe was visited by a tearful Ernie Wise. Ernie told him that Des O'Connor had just interrupted his live TV show to ask the whole audience to pray for Eric, fighting for his life in hospital. Eric replied that the thought was really appreciated, "those 6 or 7 people could make all the difference".
