Of course, moaning about it isn't helping it die.

I was kind of going for a "reverse psychology" type approach.

Look what you did. You have created the thread that will not die. It's like the main character from your book.

<sets fire to thread>

All it takes is a sub-Benny Hill double entendre in the thread title and an arty premise and voila! Perpetual motion. The only way to kill it for certain is to bring the subject round to discussing The Eagles.

I'm game for that. The Eagles are intensely boring shite for old people, although the Alabama 3 cover of Hotel California is more interesting.

Eagles are way cool, nesting up high and being hard as fuck.

And sleeping intermittently at the Hotel California.

Incidentally, where can I get my mitts on your book? I downloaded it when you mentioned it, but then never got round to reading it, and I'd like to have another crack at it.

What's the book about and how long is it?

I'll upload it on this thread later tonight. It's called Dying for Hammer, and it's about the life of a character who lives (and dies, regularly) in a world based on Hammer horror films. It's a light-hearted, bloody, scatological romp.

Somebody told me a story involving something to do with the Eagles the other day there. I can't remember what it was about. It was in response to the fact that a mate of mine had texted me to see if I wanted to go to a Maria McKee gig, and then an hour later texted me to see if I wanted to go to a Marilyn Manson gig.

I later found out that he'd also asked another friend if they wanted to go to a Simply Red gig.

So yeah, funny how this thread keeps popping up.
