Very much styled after The Sting. Alas, the plot is a charming -ish shambles. I like Liza Minnelli, but I gotta say her voice (spoken and singing both) really began to grate. Awesome naval battle scene though.

The point about the Sting is that it was really good: sharply directed and acted so that it never seemed like a cheesy revival-fest in spite of all the ragtime music and notice-board section breaks. There are plenty of recent heist/sting movies that should remember that the directing and acting are as important as smart-ass plotting and timing.
Haven't seen Lucky Lady yet (afair) but it sounds like they tried to compensate with cast and money, which is what producers usually do.
