Pitiful vampire comedy doesn't deserve ten words
Trailer

Can't agree with you there, I think it's an awesome horror-comedy (horredy?).
We saw it at the cinema, and have re-watched it on dvd probably > 6 times since. It's a keeper.
ISTR you got a beef with Johnny, on account of bad things he been accused of by his ex Amber Heard. He's one of Hollywood's best ham actors in a crowded field (IMO), and on rare occasions has acquitted himself reasonably well in dramatic roles (e.g. The Ninth Gate, more recently as Boston mobster 'Whitey' Bulgar, in Black Mass)

Nope - not an issue with his behaviour off screen. I just hated it from start to finish. I suspect debate will solve nothing and we should agree to differ.

Did you ever see the original tv series?

No. I watched the film on Netflix and I did notice something about it being based on a TV series.

Yeah I was in high school when it was broadcast, but never saw it until we bought a low-quality dvd of several seemingly random episodes a few years ago. A lot of the jokes were based on it, and (you may have guessed) 70s culture (clothes, music, affectations) in the US of A. Maybe it got lost in translation...
