Why create two posts when I can do it in one?
I stand by my original point, as long as I make it obvious that what you're getting into is a 36 word review, then it's your choice whether to read that or not. So a quick synopsis it isn't, nor is it War and Peace.
I'm happy to see a bit of activity here nevertheless, whether that be extended word reviews of things, or a bit of nitpicking by the pernickety among us.
YAWN! You're even more boring than the twerps on Facebook! :(
GET THE FUCK OFF FACEBOOK.

I'm picking this up at the lieberry today!
Just picked it up... can't wait! (may have to finish the original Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes first though, which is kind of like a Guy Ritchie version of Penny Dreadful :-D )
Grand, let me know what you think.
Give me an alternative and I will gladly do so.
It's on you to find (or make) an alternative. Point is, facebook is all kinds of bad and needs to be shuttered.
It's only some kinds of bad, not all of them.
Whelp, we started watching last night. At least some of the cultural aspects in terms of how low income rural people live and think can be found right across the country, and even in parts of Canada, so not exclusive to the southern US (full disclosure: I grew up in Arkansas). We've even got cats tear-assing around the roads in jacked-up pickup trucks festooned with confederate flags here, and for that matter plenty o' gun nuts shooting up traffic signs on lonely country roads (though gun ownership isn't nearly so prevalent), and baptist right-to-life bible-punchers galore. The music is quite an interesting aspect, I'd never heard, or heard of these particular acts. Not sure if it reflects the living culture any more except in a nostalgic, hipster-hillbilly kind of way. Anyway I enjoyed it thus far and looking forward to watching the rest.
